Full Legal Name: Shawano Water Control District
Public Purpose: Drainage, irrigation, water control, and reclaiming the land and protecting the same from the effects of water, for agricultural and sanitary purposes, and for public convenience and welfare for public utility and benefit.
Boundaries: All of Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 17 and 18 of Township 45 South, Range 39 East; and all of Sections 1, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30 of Township 45 South, Range 38 East; and all of those portions of Sections 2, 3, and 11 of Township 45 South, Range 38 lying Northeast of the centerline of the Hillsboro Canal; and all of those portions of Sections 19, 24 and 30 of Township 45 South, Range 38 East lying Southwest of the centerline of the Hillsboro Canal.
All of that part of Section 24, Township 45 South, Range 38 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, lying North and East of Hillsboro Canal and L-15 Right-of-Way;
Less and except that certain parcel known as Parcel TR-2 and described  as all those lands in Section 24, Township 45 South, Range 38 East, Palm  Beach County, Florida, lying in the following described lands: For a Point  of Reference commence at Palm Beach County Geodetic Control Point  Exact having a coordinate value of N (Northing) = 815566.34 and E  (Easting) = 810812.50, State Plane Coordinate System, Florida East  Zone, North American Datum (NAD) of 1983/1990, as published by Palm  Beach County, Adjustment of 1998; thence South 35 Degrees 37 Minutes  50 Seconds East (all bearings and distances are State Plane Coordinate  grid bearings and distances), a distance of 16166.07 feet to the Point of Beginning, having a State Plane Coordinate Value of N = 802424.6 and  E =820227.2; thence North 34 Degrees 16 Minutes 13 Seconds West a  distance of 292.66 feet; thence South 88 Degrees 25 Minutes 45 Seconds  East, a distance of 488.11 feet; thence South 00 Degrees 16 Minutes 20  Seconds East, a distance of 231.39 feet; thence North 89 Degrees 29  Minutes 03 Seconds West, a distance of 324.24 feet to the Point of Beginning. All those lands in Section 21, Township 45 South, Range 39 East, Palm  Beach County, Florida, lying Westerly of the following described line: For a Point of Reference commence at Palm Beach County Geodetic Control  Point Exact having a coordinate value of N (Northing) = 815566.33 and  E (Easting) = 810812.54, State Plane Coordinate System, Florida East  Zone, North American Datum (NAD) of 1983/1990, as published by Palm  Beach County, Adjustment of 1998; thence South 55 Degrees 00 Minutes  50 Seconds East (all bearings and distances are State Plane Coordinate  grid bearings and distances), a distance of 27,158.45 feet to the Point of Beginning, having a State Plane Coordinate Value of N = 799994.29 and E = 833063.23, of the following described line; thence North 00 Degrees  15 Minutes 15 Seconds West along the centerline of a ditch and its  extension Northerly, a distance of 4983.25 feet, to a point having a State  Plane Coordinate value of N = 804977.49 and E = 833041.12 and the Terminus Point of said line. The aforesaid line is to be lengthened or shortened accordingly to intersect the Northerly and Southerly lines of said Section 21.

Services Provided: Construct, operate, and maintain canals,  ditches, drains, levees, and other works for drainage and water control  purposes; Acquire, purchase, operate, and maintain pumps, plants, and pumping systems for drainage and water control purposes; Construct,  operate, and maintain irrigation works, machinery, and plants; Construct,  improve, pave, and maintain roadways and roads necessary and convenient for the exercise of the powers or duties or any of the powers or duties of said District or the Supervisors.
